For 85 years there are jusos in the district of Birkenfeld. We are thereby the oldest political youth organization in the district Birkenfeld. We can look back on a long and interessting history. Generations of jusos contributed here to improve the quality of life of the younger generation.
On our homepage you can inform about our work and our political aims. In addition, you find information to current meetings and activities. Our work is various and can therefore only heavily be summarized in a sentence . We discuss current topics of the the federation, land and local government policy. This is supplemented by time witness discussions, travels and sporty events. The work we present on this page can only be a small example of our whole work.

The jusos are the youth organization of the SPD. It is open to all interested young people at the age of 14 to 35 years. SPD members in this age group are automatically jusos . The jusos argue with all questions of the policy. They are first approach place for interested young people, who want to engage themselves within the SPD. In addition, the jusos represent the interests of the young generation within the SPD. At nearly all study places there are Juso-University-Groups, which set their emphasis particularly within the range university-and education politics.
We jusos are more than a bare young generation organization of our party. We develop future drafts and discuss openly with our own generation, how we want to work and live in the future.
We do not believe in the omnipotence of the parliaments and governments. The social pressure and the social commitment are important in schools, universities, the enterprises and on the road. Democracy must be alive. Therefore we engage ourselves with the jusos.
Our conception of a certain and free life orients itself at the possibility for humans of being able to realize their requirements. Important milestones for us are self implementation, creativity, co-operation and solidarity. We do not want that humans are judged by how and whether they function in the interest of the economics and/or whether they are useful in an profit-oriented world .
In addition, we know that our society changed and that we need new answers and ideas. We place ourselves therefore completely consciously into the history of democratic socialism.
It applies to arrange our century new. For this we want to make a contribution as jusos.
